Paul Harris Fellowship
Philip John Selwood was been awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship at this Club's President's Night on 1st July 2016.
Philip has dedicated his life to service to the public, for many years in the Police Force followed by an equally distinguished time with the Air Ambulance Service and then consultancy work during his retirement.
He joined the Club on 1st July 2008 and has continued with the ethos of service as demonstrated by the ideals of Rotary. He quickly established himself as an invaluable member of the Club, contributing to all aspects of the running of the Club and working tirelessly behind the scenes in the interests of the Club.
He became Club President for 2013-14 and, following that, continued in office as Club Secretary until he moved away from the area in April 2016.
However that has not prevented him from continuing to devote his energies to the Club as he leads the Badminton Horseless Team Event (HTE) this year.
Throughout his time in the Club he has been at the forefront of all activities, from arranging the new car-parking franchise for us at Gatcombe to his contributions towards the HTE and the Christmas Sleigh collections.
