After 20 years of hard work, Rotary and its partners are on the brink of eradicating this tenacious disease from the world, but a final push is now needed to root it out, once and for all, from the last 2 areas. It is a window of opportunity of historic proportions and any contribution will help Rotary to raise $200 million to match the $355 million in challenge grant from the Bill & Malinda Gates (Window fame) foundation. The resulting $555 million will directly support immunization campaigns in developing countries, where Polio continues to infect and paralyse children, robbing them of their future.
As long as Polio threatens even one child anywhere in the world, children everywhere remain at risk. Rotary will not stop until Polio is Stopped.
