Horseless Team Event
Annual Badminton Park Fun Run
Sunday 3rd October 2010

The 2009 event was the last year in which Rotarian Nigel Walker chaired the HTE committee.  A new committee is now in place, chaired by Rotarian Roger Gibson.  The 2010 event will take place in Badminton Park as usual, courtesy of His Grace the Duke of Beaufort, on Sunday 3rd October.  There are some changes to the format this year – an earlier start and finish, some changes to the team categories and entry fees updated for the first time in four years, to be competitive with those of comparable local events.

The RCSC President-Elect, John Greenhill, has chosen three local organisations to be the main beneficiaries of the 2010 HTE: The Wiltshire Air Ambulance, The Cotswold Care Hospice at Minchinhampton and Wiltshire Mind.  It is hoped that these deserving causes will appeal to competitors and their sponsors, and attract generous support.  The HTE has provided a total of over £330,000 for many worthy beneficiaries in the past 26 years.

Full details and entry forms for the 2010 Rotary Horseless Team Event can be downloaded from the Club’s website: www.rcsc.co.uk    Discounted rates apply to all pre-registered competitors, so now is the time to organise your team of five, or come as individual runners or walkers, for a great day out in the beautiful setting of Badminton Park.  There are a number of team and individual trophies to be won, including the best Fancy Dress Team, and all finishers receive a commemorative medal.  Spectators and supporters are welcome to enjoy the fun as Badminton’s famous fences are tackled without the support of horses.
